Filiberto Villa passed his citizenship interview! It’s always tough to predict exactly when your interview will happen. Filiberto expected his to be in October, giving him more time to practice in his citizenship class after summer vacation. But instead, on the last day of school last June, he got a surprise notice to appear in August! Nervous but determined, he faced the interview with courage. The officer noticed his nervousness and was very supportive. Now an ESL student at Jefferson, Filiberto plans to keep learning and complete ESL Level 6.
