Manicuring
Manicuring Program Overview
The Manicuring Program is a comprehensive two-course sequence designed to prepare students for licensure and a successful career in the beauty industry. Aligned with California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology standards, this program emphasizes both technical skills and industry knowledge.
Manicuring 1 focuses on foundational training, including state regulations, basic chemistry, health and safety, sanitation, anatomy, and physiology. Students learn and practice water and oil manicures, as well as introductory pedicuring techniques.
Manicuring 2 builds on these skills, concentrating on the application of artificial nails — including acrylics, wraps, and gels — along with advanced pedicuring and essential employability and entrepreneurship skills.
Together, these 400 hours of hands-on training provide the knowledge and competencies needed to pursue state licensure and begin a career as a professional manicurist.
